Ogunnaike’s appointment comes as part of editor-in-chief Will Welch’s 2019 mission to focus the brand with a “cover-to-cover emphasis on style.” A newly launched, editor-led Style Digest newsletter propelled email open rates to the highest they've ever been for the brand. A weekly celebrity watch report is one of the most successful new site franchises, with about 20% more readers and engaged minutes than the site-wide average, and social franchises like #BigFitoftheDay and real-time social-first programming drove 180% more follower growth and 71% more post responses on Instagram YoY. At GQ, she will report to fashion director Mobolaji Dawodu as they continue to develop the eclectic and modern take on style that GQ is known for. 

At Elle, Ogunnaike was best known for Online,IRL a series she created for YouTube and Snapchat, as well as her viral story entitled How to Fix Fashion. She is based in New York City.
